The Singapore Association of Directors (SID) believes that in the market full of uncertainties and the increasingly complex business environment, strong corporate governance is an element of maintaining investor confidence.

The

statement also pointed out that the association will have been in contact with the HKMA, the Singapore Exchange and the Corporate Governance Advisory Committee and is determining plans to support consulting stakeholders.

The Financial Administration reviews corporate governance guidelines with the aim of establishing established practices in corporate governance and information disclosure on the existing basis and supplementing the ongoing stock market reform work.

The Board of Directors' Association stated that with the rapid transformation of the company, the board of directors plays a crucial role not only in oversight, but also in guiding long-term strategy and value creation.

The Singapore Board of Directors issued a statement on Friday (May 30), welcoming the announcement of the Monetary Authority of Singapore that it would review the corporate governance guidelines the day before, and said that the implementation of the guidelines is more clear, so that corporate directors can better perform their duties, especially when facing complex and high-risk decisions.
