Use your hands to gently press and caress the dog's lame leg to see if there is any swollen or different parts of the other leg. If there is no trauma, it may be a problem under the skin. I stroked and pinched the dog's lame legs slightly hard, and pinched them along the base of my thighs until my feet, feeling whether there was a very hard place or a swollen bag.
