Eating underwear can cause serious health problems to the dog. Food cannot be digested in the stomach; the body will try to expel it or pass it. Your dog may spit out all or part of its panties completely. However, underwear can be trapped in the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in blockage. This is a serious disease and requires immediate medical attention.
Possible initial signs of gastrointestinal obstruction include vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite and lethargy. The abdomen may become painful and/or swelling. If you notice these signs and you suspect your dog may have eaten something inedible, take your dog to the nearest open veterinary office right away. Blockage can be found by X-rays or ultrasound. If so, foreign objects need to be removed. If the foreign object is in the stomach, it can be removed by endoscopy. Intestinal obstruction requires abdominal surgery.
If you find that your dog is trying to eat your lingerie or any other inappropriate item, please contact your veterinarian. It is important to exclude medical or nutritional causes of pica before trying to correct this behavior. If you know your dog has recently taken a lingerie, the vet may prescribe medicine to them and let them spit it out.

3. Training can also help control dogs' habits of eating underwear. Handle tips like “let it go” and “get out of it” so you can stop your dog the moment you find him trying to eat something bad. If your dog disobeys, use positive reinforcement training instead of punishment. Direct your dog to a toy or game. Reward the dog to distract it from underwear (or other "bad" items).
