The new Premier League season is about to open, and Manchester United will face strong rivals Arsenal in the first round. Maguire said in an interview that the team will use better results to repay the support given by fans in bad times.
Maguire said: "I said last year that we have the best fans in the world and you really realize it when you go through difficulties. Celebration, cheers and support are always coming easily when everything goes well, but our fans are with us anytime, just like last season. The team has some dark moments, some are far from enough, but they are always supporting us.
"The atmosphere could have been really bad in the days after the (Europa League) final. But this is not the case, and it is even the opposite. We received applause from the fans when we were round-trip to the court, and this is the Red Devils fans. Now it’s our turn to give back to them with great performance this season and create some memories worth cherishing and sharing for them.
"We're bound to be stronger, everyone is, and I'm very sure of that. When you get setbacks, you learn from it and gain experience. There are a lot of lads in the locker room who had a tough season last year and they might have felt such a huge amount of pressure and rigorous scrutiny for the first time, so they'll learn a huge lesson from it.
"It's very important to stay resilient throughout the season, we know it won't be that simple, we can't win every game, even though we hope it will be. There will be ups and downs in the process, and compared to last year, we need more highlight moments and greater stability to succeed and get the club to where they should be.
"A pleasant holiday can help us stay away from football for the time being and face it with a whole new mindset when we come back. The introduction of new players, as well as new training facilities, also helps reinforce that freshness. It was our first pre-season preparation period under the guidance of Amorin and his team, which is really important. This season felt like a whole new start, and after a bad year, that's exactly what we needed. It's time to go on the court and strive to win good results."
