British media Manchester Evening News reported that Nottingham Forest hopes that Manchester City will join White's competition, but Blue Moon has no intention of signing the midfielder.
Although Morgan Gibbs White can now sign for a transfer fee of £60 million, Manchester City has no plans to sign another midfielder this summer.
Manchester City were interested in Gibbs White at the end of last season, but since then they have signed Serki from Lyon for 31 million pounds and Reindes from AC Milan for 46.3 million pounds.
After completing these deals, they are satisfied with the team's midfield strength and are now focusing on the players' departure. Phillips, Gallish and McCarthy are expected to leave the team. One of Nico Gonzalez or Gundogan is also likely to leave the team.
At the end of last season, Nottingham Forest priced Gibbs White at 100 million pounds. The players' performance helped Nottingham Forest to hit a European seat and won the call for England.
Manchester City instead signed Reindez and Sherky for a base transfer fee of 77.3 million pounds. However, last week's Spurs activated Gibbs White's 60 million termination clause in the Forest contract, putting the player's future in focus again.
Gibbs White was originally expected to transfer to Tottenham, but Nottingham Forest was angry that Tottenham knew the terms and threatened to report to the Premier League that Tottenham allegedly illegally contacted players.
Afterwards, it was reported that Nottingham Forest owner Evan Galos Marinakis is now more willing to sell Gibbs White to another club, and he hopes that Manchester City will become a buyer and rejoin the competition. But Manchester City had no intention of doing so and had ended their interest in Gibbs White.
Manchester City's lineup is already bloated, and football director Viana is currently dealing with the departure of the players, with the goal of streamlining the lineup before the start of the Premier League season.
