Is the nutritional and healthy fish not suitable for the main course? The doctor reveals the reason why "meat is a better choice"

Some people think eating fish is healthier than eating meat, because fish has lower raw and fat and calcified sterol than meat, and contains rich Omega-3 fatty acids, which are considered to be beneficial to cardiovascular health. Japanese "Kaigo-postseven" asked doctors such as Kurakaga and Nobuyuki Watanabe to share their views.

Heavy metal in fish may increase blood pressure risk

Fish contains protein, calcin and vitamins, and its nutritional value is quite high. In particular, the incomplete and fatty acids "DHA" and "EPA" in oily fish such as fish and squid fish have been proven to reduce low-density lipoprotein sterol (LDL-C), which helps prevent cardiovascular diseases such as ventricular sclerosis and hypertension.

However, this does not mean that the more fish you eat, the better, because there are health risks when eating fish.

A research group published a survey of 2,709 adults in Japan, pointing out that people who "eat fish at least once a day" will have an increase in the arsenic content in their blood, thereby increasing the risk of hypertension.

Arsenic will accumulate in the fish body as food chains. Especially deep-sea fish, large fish, shells and other seafood often contain higher concentrations of arsenic and other environmental pollutants. Long-term consumption can easily damage endothelial cells of the blood vessels, which will in turn cause hypertension.

In addition to heavy metals, fish and seafood are now widely contaminated by microplastics. Some scientific studies have shown that microplastics can cause organizational inflammation. Microplastic pollutants accumulated in humans are considered to be related to Alzheimer's disease and myocardial infarction. A large amount of microplastics has also been found in the disease-changing organs of the patients who died.

Should I eat meat or fish?

Dr. Nobuyuki Watanabe said that meat is more suitable for serving as a main dish than fish.

Because the nutrients such as protein, iron, irrig, vitamins and creatine in meat are even richer than fish, from the perspective of preventing weakening of the elderly, it is best to focus on meat in daily diet, and fish are appropriately consumed.

It is difficult for ordinary people to eat meat to have super protein quality. For adult men, they need 60 to -65 grams of protein every day, which is comparable to 300 grams of meat. If you want to strengthen your muscles, you can add more lean meat such as chicken brisket and chicken willow. Beef brisket and pork chops, which can help increase the feeling of footwork.

Many people will worry that fat is not good for physical health, but the doctor at Watanabe said there is no need to worry.

Fat is recommended to consume 20% to 30% of the daily total heat. With the general total heat of 2,000 calories, eating meat is actually difficult to eat 600 calories of fat, and not to ignore the existence of high-quality fat in meat. For example, the "unsole and fatty acids (MUFA)" in beef can reduce the ratio of bad cholesterols and have a positive effect on cardiovascular health.

The National People's Health Administration recommends that men's daily diet and fat intake should not exceed 23 grams, and women's daily diet should not exceed 18 grams. Ethnic groups that need to control their heat and fat intake should avoid pork belly and choose chicken, or pig's inner muscles and hind legs and other thin areas.
