Millionaire Steve Adcock decided to retire early at the age of 35 when he saved 900,000 yuan in 2016; the current 42-year-old can still choose to work, and the net profit of assets has increased to about 1.3 million yuan.

Edcock has made many correct decisions on money over the past few decades. Even so, Edcock said that he hoped that in his 20s, he would know something that would make him rich faster.

"Your personality will bring one more wealth than your intelligence 0 times,” Edcock noted. “Although I have worked with many smart people, the ones in the office who ended up getting a raise and a promotion are not the smartest people.”

Reviewing the past, Edcock understood this to be contrary to everyone’s intuition, especially for young people who hope to work in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) like Edcock; becoming the smartest people is often the direct way for young people to get a reply on their learning journey.

Edcock pointed out that in the real world, your IQ (EQ) is equally important, sometimes even more important.

No one says it is not important to be smart and good at work, but more importantly, you must have insight and work ability to reach a high level in any industry.

According to Edcock, you cannot make your career progress by relying on your IQ. But good emotional intelligence is not just a purely positive attitude, or knowing how to chat with colleagues; according to Vicki Salemi, a professional expert at Monster, a professional service website, here are three software techniques that can be shown to employers so that they know you deserve a promotion.

1. Dedication role

Salem said that if you are ready to take a higher-level position in the company, then start to invest as soon as possible. "Even if the position of manager does not exist, if you want to be promoted to manager, show your leadership."

2. Let everyone stand by you

If you want to train your software skills, then just ask your boss and see which software skills they think you should focus on to promote the development of your career.

3. Find a supervisor

Find someone you like the most in the office, or the one you desire to have, or the one you like to work with the most, and please teach them the secrets of their jobs in formal or informal guidance.
