The Sun said Ferguson did not travel to London last weekend to watch Manchester United losing to Brentford's league, watching his old friend Mick Hackner's Simply Red concert at Manchester Co-Op Live.
Ferguson and Hackner have been closely related for decades. In 1994, Hackner trained with Manchester United before the Champions League group stage match against Barcelona, ββand Manchester United lost 0-4 in that game.
During that trip, Hackner also visited Paul Ince and Giggs' room in Catalonia, when the two teammates were still living together.
